The appendages on this are not the same, they are much wider. Resembles a crocus (flower) to me. No red or blue colors. I think its just another way to annoy me, compliments of these mfs* . I took this pic early this am and camera battery needed recharging so will go look again soon.

Hi wth,

Very interesting post regarding Dr. Klapow's work. I hadn't realized the the infectious theory of CFS had fallen by the wayside. Hadn't someone else brought up something about a parasitic origin to CFS on this forum?

I'm really glad someone's taking up what Bubba hadn't had time to finish (she'd decided to take up writing a survey based upon user submitted questions and she was going to post them on surveymonkey).

If you guys are interested in some free statistics software, here is where you might download a few (but unless this survey were large or if there were a lot of data with possible complex correlation, these probably won't be much use...I'll try to find something better):

Basic discussion of survey design:

Introduction to chi-square distribution used to establish what would constitute a significant variation, a standard deviation, and a margin of error:

Hope this helps.

Hey BB,

Thanks for links. Regarding CFS - Dr Klapow's tests showed 65% was due to C Pulmoni. I'd imagine that the rest is made up of a mixture of other infectious processes. Tara posted info about links between CFS and parasites.

So far, we've had a very poor response to the spinal pain survey, so I'm not sure that a comprehensive survey would be worth the effort in creating it. What do you think?

Hi there,

I've just got my blood results back and I've tested +ve for Cryptostrongylus pulmoni and Borrelia.

I've got a protocol to follow for 8 weeks. Apparently, the 3 main components of getting this was stress, immune disturbance and infection.

I think that 87 people were tested for this, so far, I know that 2 people have tested +ve.

I'm gonna get some more info on exactly what the bloods showed regarding CP as I know they normally take 2-6 months to show up.

Its never boring hey!!

Over and out

Jo,

Were the tests sent to a lab in the UK?

What does the 6 month protocol involve?

Hi ya Jason,

Yes, they were tested in UK. Dont have any more details on the testing done yet. The protocol's for 8 weeks not 6 doh! - and then review.

I've got lots of questions for the Doc.

Will keep you posted.

Hi y'all,

I've made a list of my symptoms that I'm gonna use with family and friends, so that they know what to look out for in themselves and children.

I've made the list available below, in case it's useful for anyone:

Hey Jo,
If these are the symptoms for cryptostrongylus pulmoni and borellia, how do we know to distinguish them from each other? These are my symptoms! So, this is what Morgellons is?

Funny you should ask that, cuz I've just sent the list to Jules to see if she can help distinguish between the two - as she's had CP for 12 years.

Wouldnt surprise me if a number of these symptoms are caused by both.

Is it Morgellons?? Partially, it could well be (I'm thinking in particular, the fibers) - I'm not convinced that it could explain the open legions. I've never had open legions.

There again, I dont get coughs and CP is a hidden lung worm!! Very hidden in my case Even though I'm fairly young (33), and my skin integrity is pretty good, I still think the legions are caused by something else, as age is no barrier to those legions

Who knows!!
